Do we really need Electronic Arts?

In my honest opinion, no. There are alot of reasons I don't think we need EA. First off, the DC is doing just fine without them. Over 1 million DCs in 3 months, immpressive. Now there is nothing saying the DC could have sold twice as many units if EA was on board, but I highly doubt it. NFL 2K is the best selling Dreamcast game right now, I get the feeling no one misses Madden. Wich brings me to my next point, what games does EA have that the DC doesn't already have? They already have the main sports covered, NBA, NHL, and NFL. And in most peoples eyes, SEGA Sports is wiping the floor with EA Sports.

Ok, I am aware that EA makes more than just sports games, so lets take a look. EA makes the Road Rash series. The DC has Suzuki Alstare Extreme Racing, which is just as bad as Road Rash. Another series they are known for is the Need For Speed series. And yeah, SEGAs got that covered as well. Tokyo Xtreme Racer and SEGA Rally 2 are loads better than any of the NFS games. These racers along with their sports lineup, are EA's main series'.

Now my point is, we jut don't need these games. Every one of them already has a DC game that is comparible to it, and better. So do we really need EA, no, not really.
